I don’t like umpires and policemen right now
That’s a kind of bad thing to say, especially about the policemen, but that’s the way it is with this old boy. If you are going to make a statement like this you are going to have to back it up with some examples so here goes for me.
The umpiring one is easy. My two examples come from baseball games involving LSU in the NCAA baseball tourney. In the Super Regionals a bad call on a a hidden ball trick took the Tigers out of a big rally and they lost the game. Last night a terrible call at first base took LSU out of their first game at the College World Series. So umpires are just not on my list of favorites. I’d like to see the calls go in LSU’s favor at some point. I won’t hold my breath.
I feel the same way about cops. My wife got a ticket for having an expired tax tag on her vehicle. She tried to explain that she had paid the fee, but never got the tag. She’s only in charge of paying. The sending it up to the city. The cop would not listen. He has a computer in his car and could have easily looked it up. We got it all straight and the ticket was torn up, but my wife had to endure some bull for the cop. My wife’s car was broken into in our driveway not too long ago. Where was the cop then? Plus the police don’t even come to investigate on stuff like this. They take a statement on the phone and send it to you! LOL!!
I also saw a plea on Human Events, that’s a conservative site, that wanted people to send money for a police chief in Nebraska who killed a suspect. He and another officer chased the suspect and had him holed up in a room. They went in and shot the guy and he died. The police chief has been indicted. Now, I can imagine that the drug infested maggot he shot needed to be killed. But you can’t do it like the police chief did it. The guy was cornered. He as not public enemy No. 1. So just wait the guy out. It’s not that important to kill the guy. Just let him be. Surround the place and let him give himsele up. Don’t kill him and then have to face the system. I feel for the cop but he made a bad decision and he’ll have to pay for it. I am not going to send him any money. He did not send me any when I needed it. LOL.
I am not high on umps and cops. I just had to write it down so everyone could see.
