Rooster’s Ramblings

We had layoffs at the company I work for several days ago. It’s been a little quiet and subdued for the past day and a half, but the actions were necessary. I hate to see people lost their jobs. I know how it feels. I have been out of a job many, many times in the past. I think it’s close to 20 from being laid off. Our company had to make a decision to chop some costs. I am sure more money has been going out than coming in. So something had to be done.

I really feel for the people who got laid off. The disruption in their lives is going to be enormous. Almost all are good people who will have no troubld finding another job. At least I hope they find a good one and they do so fast. Sometimes layoffs are necessary. This was one of them even though it’s still tough.
